History: Plymouth Church was founded in 1847 by transplanted New Englanders. 21 men and women founded the church in Brooklyn Heights. One was Henry Ward Beecher. He was an abolitionist born in 1813. In his sermons he also supported women’s rights!by, Veronika Collins
